Have an early post for the two occasions ^_^

May you have a good Valentine's. Bluestreak is ready, willing and able to render assistance if needed.

And Happy Chinese New Year ^_^ It's the Year of the Tiger according to the Chinese zodiac, so have some tigers with the TF. Swerve, being red and gold (auspicious colours for Chinese New Year) gets picture duty while the rest of the bitties plot to raid the candy pile outside my room. This wouldn't be so much of a problem, only I now have about twenty-one of the little bots running about my shelves 0_0;; Wish me luck.
Also, I was tagged a while back by
katsuko.
1. I was born in the Year of the Tiger >:3 Hence my having tiger plushies and figures readily available for a photo op.
2. A coworker has labelled me Wikipedia-head because I somehow remember a lot of random facts that I read once somewhere, none of them particularly useful. But for some reason, I can't remember the steps of a protocol I use regularly.
3. I am a bit of a packrat. Or maybe I'm part magpie. I collect odd things for no other reason than that I think they look interesting (or shiny).
4. When bored, I leave trails of origami cranes in my wake. There are still cranes in my honours lab back in my uni.
5. I read a lot, but in the bookstore, I will usually skim the first few chapters of a book, then read the last few. That way, if I don't like the book enough to bring it home, at least I know how it ends. I even do this with books I end up hating a few pages in, to my chagrin.
6. I use words like chagrin, vexed and esotoric in regular conversation.
7. I don't know if it's because wearing a bright colour makes me easy to target or if seeing bright colours makes a person more 'aggressive' or if I just feel like I'm more visible and thus more self conscious and thus more prone to being uncoordinated and accident prone, but the few times I've wandered out of the safety of my room (I didn't make it out of the house, even) in a red shirt, something less than stellar has happened to me. Except for the recent movie, I don't even watch Star Trek. Chinese New Year, with the traditional demand that I wear something red at least for the first day, is going to be interesting.

Date: 2010-02-14 09:48 am (UTC)A Tigger's a wonderful thing.
Their tops are made out of rubber,
their bottoms are made out of spring
They're bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy,
fun, fun, fun, fun, fun,
The most wonderful thing
about Tiggers is:
I'm not the only one!
