DAMMIT. I know a metal worker who says he could actually modify a toaster to look like those! And I really want one... But I'm resisting...

Given that my toaster seems to have an outer shell of plastic, I think as long as the choice of material to be used in the mods is sensible and the weight of it all doesn't tip the toaster over, working versions of these toasters may very well be plausible.

Said friend made me my current toaster, which is cast steel. And would not fall over. *twitches* Oooooh how I want to do it...
