But I just thought of another seeker-bunny for you.
"Skyfire: ... *wondering if all Ops mechs are actually Seekers in disguise, as they share the same crazy*"
What if the Ops mechs really were Seekers (or at least have some Seeker-programming in them), but just didn't know it themselves?
Think about it. There's only three of them, like a trine. Jazz, in vejiraziel and purajo's fics at least, has doorwings--albeit small ones. And in huntingospray's fic, "Windows on the soul (http://community.livejournal.com/inkyfeathers/2205.html#cutid1)", Jazz was a Seeker rebuilt into a Groundpounder because of his brother who became Shockwave. I think that, at the very least, one of his Creators was a Seeker.
Mirage has a light and sleek frame and a very subtle superiority complex towards common mechs that could be similar to how Seekers view Groundpounders. My idea is that his Mother-Creator, at least, was a very beautiful seeker who was bonded to a wealthy Towers Mech. Mirage could've been originally created with a Seeker frame, but then the war started while he was just a Seekerlet, Seekers were getting a bad name because of their association with Megatron and the Decepticons. Mirage and his mother had to have their frames changed in order to spare his father the stigma of having Seekers in his family until the war was over. Unfortunately, his creators died along with everyone else in the Towers and Mirage never knew that he was originally a Seeker at birth.
Bumblebee had doorwings in the Movieverse. And why would he be named after a flying insect, anyway? In the G1-verse, he could've come from a very poor couple from Praxus who couldn't even afford a doorwing-ed frame for him. They were planning on saving up enough credits to get him one, but they died during a Decepticon attack when Bumblebee was young, and he never even knew that his family originally came from Praxus. I can't help but see him enjoy playing pranks like a young SeekerletSkywarp, but is just smarter in how he pulls them off and making sure that other botsthe Twins take the blame for them.
You're Really Gonna Hate Me For This...
